Romanticism
Romanticism describes the words,
“Vincent’s Starry, Starry Night”
Lyrics sound the sentiment,
In Sylvia Plath’s,
example of a villanelle
"Mad Girl's love Song"
Her Attempt to sort it out make it real?
Or simply a picture painted with words.

Colliding with the present impression,
Grinding, crush of my past,
dampens my mood for days in succession.
An old enemy, persistent depression,
Tumbling, falling fast,
Colliding with the present impression.
Kneeling at the altar I make my confession,
Halting, hesitant downcast,
Dampens my mood for days in succession.
Desperate to be free of this obsession,
One–two-three, marching-past,
Colliding with the present impression.
Desiring to be relieved of this oppression
weighted, heavy overcast,
Dampens my mood for days in succession.
Begging forgiveness of my transgression,
Intruding , Swiftly, memories fly-past,
Colliding with the present impression,
Dampens my mood for days in succession.

The Bounty of Earths Yield (villanelle)
Yellow flowers cover the field,
Fish jump in a stream,
The bounty of earths yield.
Orange, lemon, limes peeled,
Crows flying overhead scream,
Yellow flowers cover the field,
Apples and potatoes in wagons wheeled,
Burlap sack bursting at its seam,
The bounty of earths yield.
Clover and herbs, mint and dill,
cows milk churned into cream,
Yellow flowers cover the field.
Watermelon and cantaloupe chilled,
Cart pulled by the horse team,
The bounty of earths yield.
Honeysuckle and rose scents meld,
golden wheat and sun beam,
yellow flowers cover the field,
The bounty of earths yield.
Fish jump in a stream,
The bounty of earths yield.

Life is what happens to the plans you make.
As each hour passes and for the day you prepare.
Dependant on the degree of risk you take.
Living, it's all a gamble, careful you'll lose your stake.
As the dice is rolled and the snake eyes appear
Life is what happens to the plans you make.
Dreams go away, morning comes then you awake
Sometimes your only goal is to alleviate fear
Dependant on the degree of risk you take.
Anxiously check your mailbox, did you win the sweepstake?
Real luck is a mate staying a lifetime to dry your tear
Life is what happens to the plans you make
Work hard all your days, your kids and wife not forsake,
Soon as they can they leave home, just disappear,
Dependant on the degree of risk you take.
Whether you win or lose, or make many a mistake,
fail to take advantage of options that never reappear,
Life is what happens to the plans you make
Dependant on the degree of risk you take.

Once a young maid took a lover
Handsome man full of charm
They lay under the cover.
To her house he'd come over
They would walk arm in arm
Once a young maid took a lover
In sunshine, on top of green clover,
Innocent, meaning no harm,
They lay under the cover.
Hours spent bodies to discover
Barn haystack on the farm
Once a young maid took a lover
They, neither one a pushover
No conscience sound of alarm
They lay under the cover
Time spent, youth not to recover, but
Keeping forever the memory so warm,
Once a young maid took a lover
They lay under the cover.

Attitude
Felicitous attitude,
Please like me,
Forgive my platitude,
But, it is free.
High altitude
Can you see?
Nothing to occlude
My profundity.

Sloth a deadly sin,
One of seven,
Spiritual apathy,
For you no heaven,
Image of skin,
Gold graven,
Ithyphallic, telepathy,
Mental craven,
Meet the harlequin,
Black raven,
Dragging a harpy,
Number seven.

Words To The Wise
Me myself and I,
words to the wise.
Indulging in meditation,
came to the realization,
my human family,
sisters and brothers,
steal, cheat, lie,
kill others...
they are bad.
A nothing new thought,
but, still sad.
With this I declare,
my epiphany share.
The smaller things,
may have greater impact,
though not deadly,
as physical contact.
Laughing at someone,
may seem harmless,
and simple fun.
Pain not to see,
only effects mentally.
Hurt accepted,
even if irrational,
should be rejected.
You may ask how so?
To be happy.........
No thinking with ego.
Put others first,
peace you'll see,
mind free.....
difficult task,
for some you ask?
Yes, for the self,
belittled,
made fun of daily,
self-pity riddled,
self absorbs all,
nothing's left.
For the mind,
can handle only
one thing at a time.
Ego safeguards, For
Others, no regard,
simply unable,
unstable,
obsessed,
miserable,
depressed.

Fathers Day Poem
You opened,
the locked door,
I looked inside,
concerned,
Fish eyes stared back.
But, you let me in.
It was long ago,
I still remember,
The scent of vodka,
on your breath.
I recall,
you loved your uniform,
with its ribbons and metals,
You liked to drive
Your car very fast.
Once you outran
a train, going Across
a railroad Track.
Fearless of death,
Brave soldier,
Your rank,
Sergeant first class.
You were in charge,
of other soldiers.
I have
Proud Memories of you,
Marching in a parade,
Or standing on a tank.
With a smile on your face.
Was it the heavy weight
of your past,
veteran of a World War.
Maybe that was it….
Did you feel?
Did you think,
You would cheat,
The grime reaper.
What thoughts,
Did you have,
To make you,
To Force you,
To decide.
To solve the problem.
You did get results,
but, it was a,
permanent solution,
and a
premature ending,
for a
temporary situation...

I Am Free
Wrinkles line my face,
none of which I would erase,
hair, long wavy, dark strands,
gray interwoven, life demands,
green eyes seem the color brown,
when I squint or if I frown,
Denim blue jeans I wear for play,
Dress up for church on Sunday,
last husband died this year,
none left of sorrow, no single tear,
baby daughter moved away,
to a country afar, to stay,
Quiet peaceful life I lead,
Only dogs and cats to feed,
Question posed by inner voice,
should I weep and wail or rejoice,
Is there weight of distress
of isolation, of lonliness,
Then it dawns, a lights reflection
decision made, reject dejection,
refusing to be desolate I see,
and appreciate that I am free.

Jake Chased a Ball Today
Jake chased a ball today,
he jumped up and down,
frisky, happy, at play,
running round and round,
wiggling, waggling his tail,
Now, this puppy is well,
Jake chased a ball today,'
not so very long ago,
no energy, he'd just stay
in one place or move slow,
Now, he is back on track,
his appetite is back,
Jake chased a ball today.

Jake's Tummy Ache
To the Veterinarian
went the dog named Jake,
hoping to find medicine,
for his tummy ache.
He had quite an adventure
while waiting in a room,
he met a little miniature,
poodle, there to see a groom.
A woman had her cat there,
who meowed and hissed,
as it hid behind a chair.
Finally, Jake got to see the doctor;
after a probe and a listen,
Jake got a shot and an order
for stomach medicine.
As he left he went bow, wow,
looking so splendid,
he is all better now,
his adventure has ended.

My Trip to the Park
Ocmulgee Indian Mounds, a park,
known as a local land mark.
Descendant of Creek Indian tribe,
inside the mound on walls describe,
this gallant people of old,
the history of their culture told.
When I walk alone on the trails,
I think of stories and tales,
about Indians I have heard,
I imagine the same birds,
blue jay and cardinals, Red
flew over head.
They felt the same cool breeze;
were shaded by the pine trees.
I recall the time,
My daughter and I climbed,
up the highest mound.
Deer watched us spellbound
transfixed and still,
suddenly they turned around
and disappeared from the field.

X-Quisit King Klyde
X-Quisit King Klyde,
lilac points, bred pure,
slim, sleek, blue eyed,
exquisite creature.
This cat, for a small fee,
came to live with me.
complete with pedigree.
In the beginning
he acted very scared,
perhaps thinking,
no one cared.
He would go away,
Like a ghost,
Then came the day,
He let me get close,
his fear went away,
he made me smile,
loudly he meowed,
As Siamese will do,
Purring he showed,
He trusts me, true,
Petting allowed,
My friend he’ll be,
No more to hide
Or run to be free,
X-Quisit King Klyde.

Country, God and Faith
Crying out loudly,
A mother awakes,
in her arms her baby son she takes,
soothing him,
he goes back to sleep.
Far away desert,
explosion, wounds deep,
mother awakens at,
she know not what,
another soldier lost in combat.
Country, faith and God her belief,
All three, will not bring relief,
or sooth her grief,
or bring back to life a proud,
son who cried out loud,
A mother to awake,
in Her arms,
she will never again take,
No, she will never again comfort him,
Or fill the silent emptiness within,
created by love
for country, God and faith.

Knight vs Warlock
Dishonored, a knight,
accepted a challenge,
a warlock to fight,
His goal revenge,
anxious on hilltop,
awaiting witch, swarthy,
could black magic stop,
this knight so worthy,
don’t be skeptical,
or in thought unkind,
coarse man despicable,
made a grisly find,
the one seeking honor,
made good his goal,
gone was the sorcerer,
he turned into a mole,
for this blessed knight,
this gallant breed,
had his own amulet,
to make him succeed!

I Remember
As I journey in this life,
Thinking tragedy I foresee,
I remember that you take care of me.
-
Dealing with strife,
Sometimes in fear and misery,
As I journey through this life.
-
Toiling with grief
It amazes me that I didn't see,
I remember that you take care of me.
-
Sometimes in disbelief,
Forgetting your decree,
As I journey though this life.
-
You hear me what-if,
I'm not like the birds in the tree,
I remember that you take care of me.
-
Falling down on bended Knee,
I thank you God, I'm free,
As I journey in this life,
I remember that you take care of me.

Hemlock
For Socrate's
philosophy,
he was made by
a Decree, To
drink the juice of
the deadly leaf
of hemlock tree.
Teaching he dared,
the fantasy,
that men could learn,
to think, minds free.
In reality,
the powers to be,
lifted glassy
eyes, toasting a
fait accompli.

Reality Bites
Glossy purple, black,
fruit of the deadly
night shade, poisonous
but, good for the heart.
Green Trees in orchard,
explode with blossoms;
red and green fruit, sweet.
Snow white took the bite...
Wicked witches trick,
then Snow went to sleep,
A kiss, lips touched,
waking up startled,
she was kneeling at,
the prince's feet.

I talk of you when I pray
Never wanted it to end this way,
Sorry it wasn't different,
I talk of you when I pray.
Beautiful sunny Sunday,
Air filled with joy, no hint,
I never wanted it to end this way.
Planned a trip, fishing boat in bay,
catching trout your intent,
I talk of you when I pray.
Green pickup sits in driveway,
Whole front end a big dent,
Never wanted it to end this way.
Crumpled fender, muddy red clay,
you were killed in the accident,
I talk of you when I pray.
Victim of the black paved highway,
No chance for you to repent,
Never wanted it to end this way,
I talk of you when I pray.

*we're sitting on the grass;
you are *smiling at me.
*such a good way to feel.
I hand you a book.
You give *me a look.
in *that magic way,
that makes me so happy.
*Surely it will stay.
It gives me a start.
to hear the sonic
beating of my heart.
(or was that a fart!)
It is so loud that I do
not know *why you
can't hear it too.
You *have a way of
* making everything,
even the flowers in your
hair a *symbol of our love.

Jungle Adventure (group challenge)
Sitting around the camp–fire,
we heard distant-jungle-drums
beat out a-message of danger.
-Warning us of -strange little men
-Coming our way!
Hearing-noises, in the–darkness,
we grabbed our guns and -supplies;
quickly scattering,
each one going in a different direction.
Much later, feeling the danger had past,
we regrouped.
Searching our number,
we discovered two were gone.
One of the missing,
unfortunately,
was our -guide,
luckily, we had a -map.
Ready to end this adventure
we began our trip, following a
-path back towards civilization.
As we were leaving the jungle,
we passed by a recently deserted-campsite.
There in the middle of a circle of huts,
next to a still steaming black cauldron,
lay a large pile of white bones,
freshly,
picked clean of flesh.

-Diamonds glitter like peices of broken glass (group challenge)
-Diamonds glitter like peices of broken
glass on your-cold,
still finger,
My love for you told
by symbol, unspoken.
-Hopeful, I look at your form,
but, you never again will rise
-get up from this-slumber,
Never again will I feel your
touch so warm and tender
Wreaths of fragrant flowers so fine
form a frame around a-painting,
of this vessel of pine,
our journey together
the final hours defined.
Wearily I lift myself up
-leaving, you
I suppress a sob,
I dry my eyes, to proceed
with the-job of living.

Life is a Series of Funerals
Life is a series of funerals,
last week, last month, last year.
The little girl I was, no longer lives,
The daughter I gave birth to moved away.
The wife I was, would never stay.
When I was a wife, a parent, a friend,
guiltily, I knew I would stray,
But, perhaps I was right,
It was Okay,
today and yesterday,
it is no male or female’s plight
Or ability to remain,
in a single relationship of any kind,
throughout a lifetime to maintain.
To think otherwise made me a fool.
Nothing, so I have been told,
under the sun,
is sustained for more than a season
for some,
the end comes before winter’s begun,
It is the exception, not the rule.
There are no permanent positions,
This is a realization,
A fact that rules,
not meant to be cruel.
Something you,
probably already knew,
My sin, I confess this day,
I decided in one place to stay,
thinking,
to preserve my life on earth,
But, the wood is rotting away.
All slips through my fingers.
Nothing left from yesterday,
It has all changed,
only the memories linger.
Stubbornly, I resist,
It is not what I planned.
Perhaps in truth, eternity,
without beginning or end or change,
is filtering though to me.
From this never-ending evolution
I long to be free?
Impossible on this earth,
where the only constant is change,
I have heard this before,
but, in my minds ear,
it sounded strange,
even so, I know this truth,
to my core,
It is available to everyone,
Look round see the proof,
of it,
I don’t remember before I was born,
I don’t think I will remember,
This life after I am dead,
Just as I do not remember,
what I had to eat,
on Christmas Eve, December
nineteen sixty-four.

I Think of a long day past.
I Think of a long day past,
Childishly, a cigarette I would smoke,
Back when I was much younger and chaste.
I remember guiltily putting it out fast,
The taste of it made me choke,
I Think of a long day past.
Of you, recollections tumble out in hast
My hair you would lovingly stroke,
Back when I was much younger and chaste
Memory of your eyes in my direction cast
When I would look up, quickly your gaze broke
I Think of a long day past.
How could I have ever forecast,
Calling you, an answer would not evoke,
Back when I was much younger and chaste.
Years have gone by, sadness I taste.
It has been a long time since we last spoke,
I Think of a long day past,
Back when I was much younger and chaste

Supersitition
Superstition
Friday comes fifty two times a year
three labeled the thirteenth,
floor of the Hotel Belvedere,
avoid, take a room on the tenth.
Rabbits foot South Louisiana be
hoo doo stock and trade.
Tie a yellow ribbon, around the old
raccoon penis bone charm, made
simple love potion or sex spell,
full moon, beneath a window,
whisper his name don't yell.
No broken back allow
Stepping on a crack, baby
Black, cat cross your path
you must turn back.
four leaf clover Celts white charm
against bad evil spirits attack.
Amulet, Jew apotropaic arm
located on a Lucky Mojo Curio rack
Shattered mirror broken soul,
Roman seven years trek
to repair the damage toll.
Once laid against the crucifix
of Jesus in biblical times
the Wooden ladder can not fix
its reputation, finds
victim walking under, see
on way to the gallows rope
Lets try knocking on the
god of the trees wood, hope
fill Voodoo queen's purse,
against your opponent she
will cast a curse
making them agree
Fiery Dragon will bring
good fortune to be.
For luck, me I wear a string.

Insanity Defined
Insanity Defined
Some blame repetition,
unrealistic expectation,
Mental insult,
Seasonal insanity springs result,
Artist builds sand castle,
living there such a hastle,
ravanges of guilty hand,
Perception distorted land,
Maternal rearing,
naked little king,
Fighting marine,
bloody dream,
Criminally insane,
There is no gain,
Unable to realize,
Guns and knifes,
take peoples lives,
PMS womans bane,
Bloated belly pain,
Chemicals insufficient,
Disfunctional brain ill,
Medical person indifferent,
Solve the problem with a pill.

Poets Critic
To Critique anothers lovingly written Poem
How could I do that, what does this mean?
What method can I use to avoid to demean?
Like butterfly wings snipped off without a qualm.
For poetry there is many a form
Many ways developed to scheme and rhyme
End, internal, slant and perfect, over time
Whatever you chose can be the norm.
Poetic license may abound
Is meter correct as sentances flow?
There may be free verse, can anything go?
Onomatopoeia used for words sound.
I think the critics value of poetry of each
villanelle, cinquian's emotional plea
or verse exposed emotion others see
is it's ability of the heart to reach.

Red White and Blue
Red white and blue
flag waves in view
Slices of red watermelon
People served pablum
Sun's red heat
Drummer beat
Fireworks red glow
Sparks blue, green, yellow
Blood red wound fresh
Whose pound of flesh
The cannon ball rotund
Death gives no refund
Every red dime?
Cut social secuity the chime.
President's first choice
Red anger people voice
Blue to red democracy
The Senator's hypocracy
Remember the Red Scare
If you dare
Is the red white and blue
still in view?

50 Word Challenge "Lovers Fate"
They were LOVERS
Lucky finding four leaf clovers
Arriving passengers in a NEW Taxi
Both of them very happy
Free of gloom or MOURNING
Plans for Rest sojourning
Rented room in HOTEL
Walls of DIFFERENT colors pastel
Both free of old BAGGAGE
Comfortable like familiar adage
They made Plans to visit the CITY
All dressed up and looking pretty
Giggling and acting SILLY
Topping their food with piccalilli
Guzzling junk FOOD
Enjoying the mood
Greeting new Friends
STRESS, Happiness transcends
Losing track of TIME they SPEND
A wonderful WEEKEND
They crossed a BRIDGE
DESIRE to reach green grassy ridge
Arriving followed IDEAS
Picking clusters of flowers from the spirea
BREAKING, they suggest
Under the oak TREES to rest
YELLOW FLOWERS cover the FIELD
The bounty of earths yield
Gift of kiss a sudden ACTION
Return of passion was the reaction
They took the PATH to the LAKE
A TREAT for the ducks they take
Eyes agree in CONFERENCE
The gate was open to the fence
Looking at each other UNDERSTANDING
Claiming the RED boat tied at docks landing
Not BOTHERED that it was in ill REPAIR
Invincible, confident of a ride to share
Only a short time in the waters BLUE
They suddenly LOST the shoreline view
It was a great WORRY
Seeing the wild bounce of the buoy
PATTERN of GATHERING Clouds
Appeared like black shrouds
In CONFUSION life became different
Boat flipping over, a horrible accident
OVERWHELMED they sank BELOW
The waters swallowed boats cargo
Another DEMINSION WANDERING
In TROUBLE floundering.
TANGLED in the seaweed of the cove
LOST, their lot would not IMPROVE
TERMINAL, love didn’t change condition
They escaped not Death and perdition!

Pedro (from a 20 word challenge)
Pedro made PAYMENT for a van,
OPTIONS For PROJECT PLANS were relayed.
SLOWLY going OVER instructions by American,
Warned of risk, arrangements made,
THREATENING Guards with Rifles command!
Under cover of CLOUDS shade;
DAMP, DRIZZLE, FOG, Pedro began
Dodging TANGLED FENCE barricade.
Cargo BOXES and human countraband;
He was very afraid!
Seeking PROTECTION by God's hand;
Ignoring the DANGER he prayed.
Taking a CHANCE to reach the land,
BUILDING hope to be not delayed,
Changing his FATE, Pedro, a man...
Happy tears in his eyes stayed,
Crossing BORDER a sudden reprimand!
Pain sharp as a knife blade
Pedro reached this country so grand
Only to be slayed!

did CAPTURE my fancy in facination!

The marvelous flea market
Vendors selling ripe tomatoes

Summer
First week of summer,
I am full of cheer,
Gone, gloomy storms I did fear!
Gone, April's rainy tear
Gone, wind that makes the leaf a spear.
Flowers of all kinds are blooming,
The ones that sprouted in spring,
Now, Heart lighter and glad.
Now, Dark clouds no longer make sad.
Now, Fear no longer to drive mad.
Another stormy season survival,
I rejoice at summers arrival!

The Shadow in the Mirror
When I look into a mirror
Not only do I see my face but I see a shadow
I jump back in horror
Something slipped in from the corridor
Someone passed by the window
When I look into a mirror
Swirling round I slam closed the open door
There can be no one else in the chateau
I jump back in horror
Could this be deaths methaphor
Understand there is no light to show
When I look into a mirror
I fear some kind of psychewar
My concious and unconsious are having a row
I jump back in horror
Did I made an error
Does the light actually glow?
When I look into a mirror
I jump back in horror

Wine
The wine glass sits upon the table
holding a small amount of red wine
Tasty, though it is a cheap label
Somewhat like a zinfandel
But, good enough to drink when I dine.
The wine glass sits upon the table
Ambiance of the pastoral
Perhaps from the farmers grapevine
Tasty, though it is a cheap label
I fell under the wines spell
Despite its worth of just a stein
The wine glass sits upon the table
Grapes pungent bouquet I smell
Color the red of grenadine
Tasty, though it is a cheap label
My thirst it does quell
This inexpensive vintage sublime

A man took a womans hand (villanelle)
A man took a womans hand
And they began to dance
Moving with the beat of the band
They moved as if in a dreamland
As if they were in a trance
A man took a womans hand
It felt as if they were in a fantasyland
casting each other a glance
Moving to the beat of the band
This dance floor a magicland
Briming over with exuberance
A man took a womans hand
As if sinking in quicksand
The beginning of their romance
Moving with beat of the band
In this dazzling wonderland
Was this love by chance
A man took a womans hand
Moving with the beat of the band

If I were...
If I were younger
I'd learn to be a cook
If I knew how to make tea bisquits
I'd write a recipe book
If I had a dollar
I'd clean my house
If I had done my laundry yesterday
I'd have a clean blouse
If I Were Queen for a Day.
I'd buy a red jaguar car
If I played in the Philharmonic Orchestra
I'd be a great big star

ONOMATOPOEIA
Splashing fish in the lake
Tingling and clammer of the bell
Hiss is the sound the snake makes
Purr goes the cat as she wags her tail
Boom the sound of a bomb
Crashing car into the embankment
Buzz the bees around the honeycomb
Moaning of the crowds dissent
Mumble of the air conditioner
Squeak of the hinge on the door
Clunking sound made by frigidaire
Baroom of feet hitting floor

Name Poem
Jacqueline
Female, Average, Neat
It is thirteen
It is like Purple
Hiking in the park
It is the memory of father Arden
Who taught me honesty and generosity.
When he returned a lost wallet and bought me things.
My name is Jacqueline
It means giving to others, working hard and
succeeding!

I Am
I am woman and I am old.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring
I hear the bells toll.
I see rainbows in the Spring
I want chocolate in a bowl
I am woman and I am old.
I pretend I am afraid of things.
I feel fear that I will fail.
I touch the cold darkness, it stings
I worry that I am alone on the trail
I cry about sad things.
I am woman and I am old.
I understand the sun will rise the next day
I say God is always with me
I dream but, they don't stay
I try to agree
I hope I find my way
I am woman and I am old.

The Deer
Down the highway the man rode
Intent on thoughts
His goal his abode
This trip made numerous nights
Deer flashes in headlight
Man swerved to avoid
Disasterous plight
No wish life to destroy
The reward a hoax
In the crash life lost.
God’s little joke;
Humane cruel cost.

Dov’é la Sfilata, Mamma--
Where is the Parade Mamma?
Dov’é la sfilata, Mamma?
There! The magical panorama;
parade of lost souls,
listen to the staccato drum roll.
Dov’é la sfilata, Mamma?
Look! Pagan celebration persona
honoring the dead;
Knights marching armor clad.
Dov’é la sfilata, Mamma?
See! Bright beads of Mardi Gras.
Playing a clarinet,
is that Marie Antoinette?
Dov’é la sfilata, Mamma?
Watch! Men wear the panama,
light fiery Lantern torches;
Over there is Cervantes.
Dov’é la sfilata, Mamma?
Attention! The crowd gala
listen to the oratory;
Military salute Machiavelli.
Dov’é la sfilata, Mamma?
There! Float covered with flora.
Queens birthday parade,
Horses prancing cavalcade.

Spring Ends (Dadaist Poem )
Springs showy buttercups,
wildflowers voracious beauty.
Bloomers are favorite flower,
viviparous from Alpine warmth thrusts.
Crushed pleasant fragrance,
in the bulb change takes.
Primroses dripping Spring
on plain spreads tiny impatients.
No bloom in snow!
Another hummingbird is
feeding on nectar of bistort.
Parry climate of Columbine!
Marmats await
snow in sky;
root of nearby beauty
thrives though dies!

The monkey dreams of climbing a tree.
The dog dreams of running free.
The cat dreams of chasing a bunny.
The bumblebee dreams of making honey.
The horse dreams of eating hay.
The little boy dreams of play.

DIATRIBE
Veil, black diaphanous covered long hair.
Learn knelling sanctimoniously at altar.
Larva clean and freshly hatched!
Unbilical cord bloody, no longer attached
Clout to administer sharp blow to the heart
Diatribe the dagger the killing dart.
