A Goodbye Villanelle

I raise to you this full goblet,
And now it's time for resolve.
Embrace the new go forward, forget.

With grace you paid, fulfilled the debt.
From promise—You, I absolve;
I raise to you this full goblet.

It ended-filling me with regret.
I wish it were a little problem to solve.
Embrace the new go forward, forget

I say let it be as if we never met.
A bad romance--accept--it won't evolve.
I raise to you this full goblet.

Many good things will come, don't fret.
The world will still revolve.
Embrace the new go forward, forget.

Our love an orb gone into the sunset
The light in darkness did dissolve.
I raise to you this full goblet.
Embrace the new go forward, forget.

Beautiful Pen

The scream within
my belly dies
As I pick up this Pen
Serenity descends
Over me. Delight!
The large page,
Spacious, white;
Not yet blemished
By black ink
Waits
I am weighted by
The responsibility
A pebble I throw
Into a pond.
I feel the elation
Of creation
I feel powerful
I can choose
Which memory
To cherish or lose
Sandalwood,
Field of clover
André Segovia
Birds singing
Bells ringing
Quickening
Or
Sulfurous Eggs
Sour booze
Screaming
Dead fish
Denied Wish
Abyss

A Kind of List Poem

Outside in the yard
Birds twitter and chirp
Down in my hand
Palm lines run long and deep

In my imagination
Schemes of my future
And the Realization

I will persevere

I will share

I will admire

Nothing is pitiful
Nothing is ludicrous

I live, I love

The Bell

She is persistent
I wake up cold as ice
Yesterday it was six. Now,
It is seven!
Holy cow, next it will be eleven!
Woof, woof, woof
Animal orientation
Time to get up
Time to go
She barks, "don't be so slow "

Dogs have no sense of time. Do "they"
Know of Pavlov's bell
Tinkle, Tinkle
Every day
Reflects a new wrinkle
Tax, tax, tax
These are the facts
"They" speak using words
Of which I am familiar.
Cha Ching, Cha Ching,

Who changes the time?
White Collars
Men in black
Women in red
It isn't the loss, but the lack
Of Gain that they dread
Clang, Clang, Clang

Naysayer Gloom
Too many old folks
From the Baby Boom
Why are they still here?
Why are they living so long?

Have you heard the song?
And all that jive
Medicine,
Is keeping them alive?
Ding a ling, ding a ling

The sin of my youth
Is forgiven
Here is the win- win
Raise prices
Increase stress
Take away their medicine
Give them no rest
Play that bugle for them
Dumb ta dum, dum ta dum, dum ta dum

Haiku - Travel

Hotel neon blaze
Beacon for weary traveler
In the evening mist

Northern lights are sheets
Of Hypnotic shimmer that
Flicker promises

Torch bearing hikers
Like tide of human lava
Ascend Mount Fuji
